Silent night, holy night
He began singing as the injections were started.
All is calm, all is bright
He was guilty of murder. He had exhausted all of his appeals.
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Those were his last words.
Holy Infant so tender and mild
The state had committed another "legal homicide"
Sleep in heavenly peace
A mother had lost a child
Sleep in heavenly peace
he died singing "Silent Night"Silent night as sung in Irish.
Listen to the beautiful lyrics
pray for the victims of the convicted
and the victims of state

This is a powerful statement against the death penalty. It makes me want to weep for the transgressions of our governments.
killing anyone never solved a problem. thanks for the visit
I agree with your sentiments Grizz. We don't have capital punishment in this country. Thank goodness. I always reckon that if you agree with capital punishment you should be the one who has to push the button or flick the switch of what ever method is being used. Thou Shalt Not Kill.
I have noticed that the states here in the US of A that do not have capitol punishment do not have a higher murder rate.
